Workbook ONE Platform

Enterprise-Class

Larger enterprise organisations have for many years been able to benefit from fully integrated applications, by purchasing integrated business software like SAP or Oracle. Small and mid-size businesses meanwhile have been left with standalone applications for accounting and sales and marketing. The WorkbooksOneâ„¢ fully integrated platform, which is delivered using SaaS technology, means small and mid-size businesses can now benefit from enterprise-class applications at a cost effective price.

Workbooks has been designed from the ground-up so that the applications you need to run your company, including CRM and back- office business applications, are unified on a single technology platform. You now have one application to manage your 'prospect to cash' business process, with the ability to manage your employees, customers and suppliers within the same application suite.

One True Version of your Data

The instant advantage of using Workbooks to manage your business is that it ensures that your organisation does not use multiple, and often inconsistent, versions of the same master data residing in different departments. For example, when an existing customer changes their address Workbooks removes the need to manually update their information in the finance system, the customer support system, in contracts and renewals records AND the CRM/contact management system. Or worse, update in only one place and thereafter be unsure which is the true system of record.

What is Saas?

'Software as a Service' - or 'SaaS' is a fast-growing phenomenon sometimes also referred to as 'Cloud Computing', 'On- Demand Applications', 'Managed Services', 'Selective Outsourcing' or 'Application Service Providers' (ASPs).

Regardless of the name that is used the concept is simple. Rather than every business needing to buy their own software and hardware and then needing to install, configure and maintain it, as a SaaS solution we do all that for you. This enables you to concentrate on running your business and it allows us to share the cost of the IT amongst many organisations; reducing the price to you.

Always Accessible. Always Available.

We host the Workbooks infrastructure in highly available and redundant datacentres; you simply login and use the applications from your web browser. As long as you have a computer, mobile phone or other device with internet access, you can use your business applications from wherever you are.

The datacentres in which we host our infrastructure are state of the art and are used by many of the world's leading financial institutions. They include redundant power feeds from multiple utility companies, underpinned by UPSs and diesel generators in the event of a power failure. The physical security of the datacentres is second to none, incorporating the use of security guards, biometric security controls and robust security procedures.

Each of our datacentres has internet feeds from multiple providers, providing redundancy in the event of an ISP failure. In addition the Workbooks infrastructure has been designed to be 'Always Available'. This means that we replicate all data between two data centres to ensure we can continue to deliver the service, even in the unlikely event that one of our centres has a catastrophic failure.

This investment in infrastructure, coupled with our service delivery teams means that we can guarantee the availability of the Workbooks applications , providing world-class service availability to customers at a fraction of the cost of doing this yourself.

Instant Upgrades to the Latest Version

Workbooks has experienced and dedicated development teams continually adding new features and functionality to the applications on the WorkbooksONEâ„¢ platform. Because Workbooks is delivered SaaS, upgrades are both seamless and instantaneous; new functionality is available to you and your end users on the day of release.

Lower Costs to Implement and Manage

Workbooks customers enjoy available and reliable world-class applications at a significantly lower cost than traditional IT systems. You no longer need to purchase and maintain expensive and complex hardware and software on which to run your business.

Workbooks' per-user-per-application pricing model gives you predictable costs and enables you to add new users or applications on-demand so that the system grows as you do.

And because you are buying a service, it can be accounted for as Operating Expenditure (OPEX) rather than Capital Expenditure (CAPEX).

You Stay in Control

Every Workbooks customer has their own, secure, online administration portal, giving you complete control over your Workbooks CRM and Workbooks Business  applications. There is no reliance on Workbooks to administer your system.

The Workbooks suite of hosted CRM  and Business  applications designed for small business  and mid-size business  are delivered over the internet so that:

  • They are accessible from any device that can access the internet; you simply subscribe and Workbooks applications are delivered straight away.

'Web 2.0' describes the changing trends in the use of internet technology and web design that aim to enhance creativity, communications, secure information sharing, collaboration and functionality of the web. Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-culture communities and hosted services, such as social-networking sites like Facebook or Twitter, video sharing sites, wikis, blogs etc. (Source).

Workbooks and Web 2.0

Because Workbooks products are built on Web 2.0 technology they deliver a user experience that, unlike traditional customer relationship management (CRM) and back-office business solutions, does not merely consist of flat web pages.

In contrast, Workbooks CRM and Workbooks Business work from web pages that are truly interactive; providing opportunities to work smarter and faster. This includes the ability to open and switch between several screens quickly, or to group and sort information on-the-fly using drag-and-drop capabilities. In short, Workbooks is a next generation user interface for small business  and mid-size business that looks and feels incredibly similar to PC or Mac Windows applications - but which is delivered via a web browser.
