Which web browser?

We're often asked which web browser works best with Workbooks. You can use any of the main browsers with Workbooks - Firefox, Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari or Opera.
Because we deliver a compelling rich User Interface in the Workbooks Desktop, the better the browser, the better the user experience will be. If you use a better browser your experience of other web sites is likely to be better too.
Our recommendation is simply to use the latest stable version of your chosen browser.
If we're pushed, we'll recommend Google Chrome - this is the fastest browser available.
Windows XP and Internet Explorer
If you are a user of Internet Explorer on Windows XP the situation is a little more complex because Microsoft will not ever support their capable IE9 version on this operating system. Which is a shame because IE9 is more than ten times faster than IE8. Our recommendation for users on XP is to install a web browser from another vendor: Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
Alternatively you can install the Google Chrome Frame plugin. Installing this means that Workbooks will run with the speed of Google Chrome within your old IE browser. When you login to Workbooks with IE you will be prompted to install Chrome Frame if you haven't installed it already - you can dismiss this reminder if you like. If you're still not convinced, take a look at this chart (from Computerworld):
