Unable to login due to a forgotten password?

Workbooks Support Posted: 2014-07-04 12:07

If you're unable to login because you've forgotten your password, the best thing to do is to get your System Administrator to reset it for you as described below. If you're the System Administrator and have forgotten your password or if you can't contact your System Administrator, then you should use the forgotten password link you'll see when you go to the login screen, as described below.

For System Administrators

System Administrators can manually reset their users' password from the relevant user record (found in Start > Configuration > Users & Security > Users).

By opening the password reveal on the user record, you will be able to set a specific password for the user providing it satisfies your configured password policy. For security purposes, it is recommended that the 'Change at next login' box is checked so that the user is forced to reset their password upon login to something only they know.

Similar to the standard password reset page, when the 'Change at next login' box is checked, the user will be prompted to change their password upon login.

For all users

If you are unable to login because you've forgotten your password, try the forgotten password link found on the Workbooks login page or click here

You'll reach the Forgotten Password page (see below) which will ask you to supply your Workbooks login email.

By providing your Workbooks login email address and clicking Request new password, you'll receive an email to your provided email address with a reset password link - active for 24 hours - which will enable you to change your password.

Clicking the link will take you to the following page where you can enter your new password.

If the new password doesn't work, ensure that the credentials you have entered are correct and check that your browser is not using a previously saved password.

NOTE: If you are a free user and haven't logged into Workbooks for over 90 days, as per our terms of use, it is likely that your database would have been deleted, which for obvious reasons, will prevent you from being able to log in.

If you're still encountering problems, please contact support.
