I use the Activity record to keep a continuing note of my interactions with prospects. During these interactions - usually on the phone - I often gather new or revised information about the person I am speaking to (the employee) or their organisation (the employer).

At the moment I have to add that new info as part of my activity note and then, when the call is finished, I have to use the Search box to find the relevant person or organisation and update their record with the new details.

If the values in the fields on the Activity records were links I could simply click them and go to the relevant record while the phone call continued or, failing that, more easily and directly once the call was over.

The links to the Person and Employer record are located on the Related Items tab. 

Links are not available on the Main tab because the fields are editable, rather than read-only, so they're not rendered as clickable hyperlinks.

NOTE: This screenshot is taken from the pre-release version on the Beta / test server.  The Employer is not available in the current version, but the upgrade is targeted for release in a couple of weeks.
