Reporting how many quotes have or have not been converted into orders

 Hi, how is the best way to create a report to show how many quotes have or have not been converted into customer orders (i.e. won). We generate a lot of quotes each week, which are not necessarily linked to a particular opportunity.

I thought about trying to set some form of criteria that looked at 'related items' as i can't see anything else that links a quote to an order but i can only see options for related people/organisations etc and not related items inside the reporting option.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

You can add a Custom Field to the Quotation that can be used as an indicator of whether or not a Quotation has progressed to an Order.  You can add a simple Checkbox, or a Picklist with Yes/No values, or you can be more advanced and use multiple Custom Fields.  e.g. You could also add a Text or Picklist custom field to record the reason why the Quote did/did not become an Order.
