RingCentral Integration Fields and Processes

During installation of the Plugin, the following Custom Fields are created automatically on a Task. They are hidden by default, so we would recommend configuring these on the relevant Form Layouts to suit your needs after installation has complete.

Field Name Data Type Description
Talk Time Integer This will record the duration of the call.
Call Recording URL Stores the talk time of a call activity.

In addition, the following Custom Fields are created automatically on a Person Record. They are hidden by default, so we would recommend configuring these on the relevant Form Layouts to suit your needs after installation has complete.

Stripped Alternate Phone Number Text Cleansed alternate phone number for matching.
Stripped Mobile Number Text Cleansed mobile number for matching.
Stripped Phone Number Text Cleansed phone number for matching.

 

Automation Processes

The following automated processes are created by the Ring Central installation plugin for use with this integration.

  • Telephony – Call Activity Updater (Scheduled Process): This process will retrieve all call activities without a Primary Contact and matches them with a person record.
  • Telephony – Stripped Number Updater (Scheduled Process):This process goes through all recently updated people records and updates their stripped phone numbers for the other scripts to use for identification.
  • Ring Central Auth (web process):This process is used to manage authentication to your Ring Central account from within Workbooks. More information can be found here.
  • Ring Central Receiver (web process):This process is used to receive phone call webhooks from Ring Central and stores them into API data.
  • Ring Central Retriever (Scheduled Process):This process retrieves the data for each phone call that is stored in API data so that it can create Phone Call Activities.
  • Ring Central Sender (Scheduled Process):This process sets up the webhooks.
