At Workbooks we pride ourselves on being the friendly CRM company, and our marketing team are key to our successes targeting established verticals to drive growth, this is where Sally focuses her time.

What is your current role at Workbooks?

I’m a senior field marketing manager looking after a couple of our strategic vertical markets.

How long have you been here?

I’ve just had my 6-month anniversary and the time has flown by!

Tell us how your career path brought you to Workbooks

During my career I’ve been lucky to have a variety of roles – with both smaller more entrepreneurial companies and a significant time with a large enterprise software vendor. When I had the opportunity to find a new challenge, I decided that a smaller growing business is where I wanted to be – and I feel extremely lucky to be here.

How do you use CRM in your day-to-day working?

I can honestly say that I use CRM most of the time while I’m at work – I’m either checking on campaign performance and our lead queues (we have great visibility in the way that we have this set-up with scoring against every touch), digging into pipeline reports to learn more about our prospects and their research behavior or just checking up on sales!

What do you like most about working at Workbooks?

Everyone is very aligned around doing the best for our customers – and this drives a very positive can-do culture. I love working somewhere everyone knows everyone and supports each other – this fosters collaboration and teamwork.

What would be your best weekend activity?

Probably being outside doing something active with my family, I’m always dragging them out for long walks, or making time to see friends that we don’t see enough for a good catch up with food and many drinks.

Which four individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most?

This is a tough one – I think resurrecting historical figures would be too weird although I can think of some good controversial combinations – and the temptation to bring back a couple of rock legends is huge! However, as I’d want this to be a fun night and for everyone to get on I’ll invite comedy hero’s Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders along with contemporary genius’s Miranda Hart and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. (I can then tell Dawn that I once saw her in WHSmiths’ but was too star-struck to say anything… she was standing very close to the Vicar of Dibley DVDs at the time and I very almost lost it!)

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

What is your favorite flavor of cake?

Probably something unctuous like a sticky ginger loaf.
