Exporting all data in one module

Stasys Posted: 2023-11-21 13:04

Hi!
We would like to export all the data pertaining to a given module, but the export button in the View bar only exports the data that is shown in that current view. The documentation describes a button in the left-hand tab to export all data, but I cannot find it (I have all permissions as system admin), there is only an import button in the actions tab... How can I do this?
Thank you!

Hi!

In order to export records fully, you must first expose/add all the fields to the landing page. Following this, you can then click the export button in the top left corner of the landing page view.

Thank you Christopher! A follow-up question, how can we export line items for quotations / opportunities?
Thanks again!

And sorry, one more question, when downloading the database as sql, is it possible to exclude emails and the audit data? This makes up a majority of the memory space... Thanks again!!

Hi Stasys,

The best way to do this would be to build a report based on Customer Quotations/Opportunities. You should be able to add relevant columns (date, reference, status). You can add the Line Items in as well (see below).

If you then run the report, you can add a filter for the specific quote you wish to view (see below)

Clicking the Export button, after these steps, will then create an Excel file showing only the information you have filtered.

It is possible to download the database as SQL excluding emails and the audit data.

This would be a chargeable request, please contact support@workbooks.com for further details.
