The Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA), a not-for-profit organisation, has selected Workbooks CRM system to simplify its membership and marketing communications, and improve relationships with customers and partners.

Louise Wallace Commercial Director at ADBA commented, “We were using a low-cost contact management system that was hindering our overall productivity and ability to sort our data and target our communications to the right people. Workbooks’ intuitive design makes it easy to use and customise, providing the team with new tools and opportunities to streamline our internal processes, helping us all to be more effective and improve our understanding of, and engagement with, our members.”

ADBA was established in 2009 as a not-for-profit organisation representing businesses in the anaerobic digestion sector, to help remove the barriers to growth currently faced by the industry and to promote the benefits of AD to the UK. It is working to realise the potential of the AD industry, and allow the sector to deliver energy security and economic growth – in waste management, farming, transport and food processing, among others – while also combating climate change.

Ian Moyse, Sales Director at Workbooks commented, “An increasing number of trade associations are becoming frustrated with conventional membership databases, and are turning to next-generation CRM systems such as Workbooks. By using Workbooks to integrate email communications and provide web-based self-service, organisations are improving the member experience to achieve better member retention and growth while improving efficiency and reducing operational costs. Workbooks is very flexible and can be configured quickly and at lower cost than larger brand name solutions, reducing up-front and maintenance costs.”

Louise continued, “With Workbooks we will now be able to easily segment our members and remove the silos of information we had across departments, helping the ADBA team to build meaningful relationships with our members and customers and therefore understand better how we can help them – whether that be through policy information or lobbying, ensuring that we are working with their target markets and educating them about the industry or simply supporting our members to network with each other. The fact that Workbooks already had integration with Mailchimp, our marketing tool of choice, made the decision even easier. We also plan to use Workbooks’ simple website integration to improve our member self-service capabilities.”
