Oxford City Council selects Workbooks cloud CRM for Sales and Marketing growth

Type: #PR

Reading, England, 21 March 2013

Oxford City Council has selected the Workbooks CRM system to enable its Direct Services team to more effectively market and sell its services for waste removal, street and grounds maintenance, building repairs and maintenance, road maintenance and vehicle maintenance.

Workbooks will be used as a central repository for all customer communication such as emails, call and meeting notes, customer quotations, and will enable the Direct Services team to improve the day-to-day account management of clients.

Ian Bourton, Business Support Manager for Oxford City Council commented, “We were impressed by the Workbooks system. Finding a solution that had an intuitive user interface and was easy to use was important to us as we wanted our users to be able to quickly start using the system and gain value from it. It is also comforting that Workbooks holds all of our data in secure UK only data centres. Their G-Cloud accreditation also impressed us.”

Ian Moyse, Sales Director at Workbooks.com commented, “We are pleased to be selected by a forward thinking council realising the benefits to them and their taxpayers of utilising an efficient cloud based solution. We were one of the first vendors to be certified on G-Cloud, far ahead of many large brand names, many of whom still remain unclassified. We pride ourselves on our clarity around data sovereignty and the openness we have with clients in terms where their data is stored and our guarantee that their data remains secure.”

Local councils in the UK have ramped up their adoption of Cloud technologies. A new research study from Eduserv has shown that over 57.5% have adopted Cloud computing in the last five years.

Workbooks was one of the 250 preferred suppliers chosen through a competitive tender process for the government’s initial G-Cloud programme and was pleased to be selected for a second time towards the end of last year in the G-Cloud II programme. The aim of the programme is to create transparency for public sector IT services, as well as to make it easier for government organisations to select third-party cloud suppliers. Workbooks is also a member of Eurocloud and continues to be given endorsement in industry reports and awards.

Ian Bourton continued, “Workbooks has a strong pedigree of accreditations and awards that along with helpful engagement throughout the sales process led us to select what we felt was the strongest sales system, for our needs, that we saw.”
