Choosing a CRM solution from the world’s leading software company might seem like the obvious choice. But at 4x the price of Workbooks CRM Edition and with its reputation of being complex to implement Microsoft Dynamics CRM may not be the right solution for every organization. 

Microsoft Dynamics has in fact become the CRM we most commonly replace at Workbooks, with many Dynamics customers re-evaluating their options following the recent price hike in Microsoft’s CRM offering. The main reasons for considering Workbooks over Microsoft are:

License Cost

Our entry level pricing for CRM Edition, which include sales and customer support, starts at $34 per user per month. Order processing & invoicing is included on our Business edition at $71 per user per month.

Microsoft CRM is sold under the name ‘Custom Engagement Plan’ and starts at $115 per user per month.

Customer Satisfaction Workbooks CRM has the highest rating of any CRM vendor in our space, according to independent comparison site G2. Workbooks Net Promoter Score (NPS) is 43 (from a range of -100 to +100).

Customers who have switched from Microsoft tell us they much prefer dealing directly with the CRM vendor rather than relying on a third-party reseller.

Commercial Approach As a Workbooks customer you contract directly with us for the provision of the service, technical support and implementation.

You have a single partner to work with, to achieve your outcomes. 

Microsoft typically sell the license directly, but you are left to find a Dynamics accredited partner for the implementation.

Microsoft do have many partners, all of whom rely on the revenue they generation from consultancy services to stay in business.

Implementation Approach & Costs Workbooks offers two approaches:

Jumpstart: Pre-packaged deployments for sales, marketing or customer support. Designed to address the common requirements we see in mid-size companies. Jumpstart pricing starts at $8,400.

Shared Success: An initial workshop run with you to determine the business outcomes your require and how they will be achieved.  The workshop is run at your offices over 2 days and we co-fund the work, providing 6 days of consultancy at $4,200. Following the workshop if you move ahead with Workbooks we will provide up to 20 days of free implementation services*.

It’s different depending on the Microsoft partner you choose.

Microsoft consultancy rates are typically higher than Workbooks and because these organizations make their money purely on services, they can’t afford to give free or discounted days away.

In contrast Workbooks offers upto 20 free days under our shared success program.
