Setting up a Web2Case Form
To set up a Web2Case Form, navigate to Start > Configuration > Web Integrations > Web To Case, then select New Case Key.

This opens a new dialog box where you choose the Queue to assign to, which is where new Cases will be assigned, and who they’re Created by.
We recommend setting Created by to the Automation User, as this will always have the relevant access and cannot be disabled.

Once you’ve set the Queue to assign to and Created by fields, click Save & Close. This generates an API key and gives you access to the Web to Case form.
It’s important that you don’t remove the web key from your form. This is a unique key that authenticates the form with your Workbooks database so it can create records. In the HTML code, the web key will look something like this:
<input type =’hidden’ name=’web_key’ value=’75e7c935f5ecdfa62275c8c646c3bc8e8dabc51c’ />

Select the Form button to download the Web2Case HTML file. Opening it gives you a basic HTML form with all of the standard Case fields, as well as any Custom Fields you’ve created.

You can find information on how to hide fields or make them required on our Editing a Web Key page. From there, your web developer can also create success or failure pages from the Submission button on the form.
